Hello, everyone. Happy second day of spring to you all! Isn't it just beautiful out there today?

I thought I would give you a quick update on the survey responses thus far, and invite those of you who have not yet had a chance to fill out the survey to do so. The link is available here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/LF3MVP6. The survey responses thus far have been as follows:

  • What are your biggest barriers to healthy eating?

The most common answer to this question was the cost of healthy food, followed by a lack of time to prepare meals/food, and the presence of picky eaters in the household. Based on these responses, I will focus primarily on inexpensive recipes and tips to save money on your household food budget. I will also try to emphasize quick and easy recipes that can be tailored to suit picky eaters' food preferences.

  • What resources would help you eat/cook healthier?

This question elicited a wide range of responses, which means that I will try my best to provide a variety of resources that will work for everyone.  The most popular answer was 'healthy recipe makeovers', so I will try to provide healthier versions of family favourite recipes. If you have any specific recipes you would like us to 'make-over', let us know!

  • Would a Pinterest account with recipes/tips be useful to you?

About half of survey respondents indicated that a Pinterest account with recipes would be useful. I am currently working on setting up this account, and will provide a link when it is ready. For those of you who haven't yet been introduced to Pinterest, I highly recommend you check it out! It's a great way to save web links into organized files for later.

  • How frequently would you like to see new blog posts?

By far the most common response to this question was once weekly, so I will do my very best to write a new post for you each week. If you have a specific topic you'd like me to cover, please get in touch with me.

  • How would you like to hear about new blog posts?

This was another question that elicited a variety of reponses. The most popular method of communication seems to be Facebook, but others noted that they prefer e-mail updates or Instagram posts. We will do our best to use all three methods to let you know about new blog activity, but please keep an eye on Facebook as our primary communication method.

And that's all for this week, folks! If you haven't yet, please take a minute or two to fill out our survey so that we can make this blog the best it can be. Happy Spring!
